Kirill, the head of one of the largest and most influential churches in Eastern Orthodoxy, has justified Russia’s invasion on spiritual grounds, describing it as a “metaphysical” battle against the West and its “gay parades.”
Kirill has echoed Putin’s unfounded claims that Ukraine was engaged in the “extermination” of Russian loyalists in the Donbas, the eastern region of Ukraine where Russian-backed separatists have been fighting Ukrainian forces since 2014.
Minor complaint: Making “Russia” blue on the map in panel one makes it look like a body of water, with a boat or airplane called “Moscow” en route from Belarus to Kazakhstan…
This isn’t the 1st time Christianity has been twisted to satisfy state policies. It goes back to the Romans. The U.S. of A. has done this more times than you have fingers to count it with. As Dylan sang “And you never ask questions whens God on your side”

Dylan also sang “If God is on our side He’ll stop the next war.”
