Magnum Force couldn’t believe what was right in front of him. How dare this useless piece of junk insult him by calling him Brute Force? He and he alone was going to rule over these stupid humans! Nothing was going to stand in his way. This robot wasn’t even worth his time. What was that corny line from that dumb Western movie he saw the other day? O yeah,
“Ths town iz nt big enuf fr both uf us”!
Traze-R tried his best to act tough. He wanted to say something bright and witty. Even he felt stupid when all he could muster up was a weak, “Then leeve”!
“Oh, I’m shaking in my boots”, MF thought to himself, as he pounded his chest and let out a yell Tarzen would have been proud of. He decided to stop playing games and quickly responded with,
“Yes-bt u frst”!
Regarding the second panel, the “good” robot is using the same police strategy as the police in our town…when they catch perps red-handed, they just tell them to “leeve”.
Where is Braces and Shirl(ey)’s sister? Everyone has disappeared. Tracy should have his backup take them in custody at least before they pop some popcorn to watch an epic battle of “wrdz” between two robots. We can only hope that Locher is going to retire and maybe put this strip (and us) out of our misery.
It is clear that Diet knew what a horrible life Traze-R would have working with Tracy, so in his infinite (okay, limited) wisdom, he said, I shall give this robot the ability to frown! Then Diet treated himself to a nice cold carton of milk.
MF looks like he is stretching and yawning in panel 3(can’t blame him). Maybe BF’s manufacturer knew he would get stuck in a lot of boring situations and that is why he was given a mouth already in the shape of a yawm.
MF must have been made in North Korea. Kim Jung-Il has ordered that his think chip RAM be filled with some of Kim’s old American westerns collection.
Next, we’ll hear, “Fill your hand, you SOB.” or “Badges? Badges? We don’t need no stinkin’ badges.”
Fortunately, right after those quotes, the action really started. In the movies, that is.
…and let’s not forget that when Diet first unveiled his crime fighting creation, he assured Our Hero that the robot would only respond to Tracy’s voice.
Abandoned detail or critical key element to use in the resolution?
Waiting for the OK Corral part to come out right after Mecha-Dick calls MF/BF “Pilgrim”. The scene ends with Tracy watching Mecha-Dick roll off into the sunset, while he yells, “Shane…., PLease don’t leave.”
Gweedo Murray says:
Nice cowboy line Ray but I believe it’s
steeng-keeng bahdgeez.
Oh…you are so right, Gweedo!! Mine looks so lame now. Thanks.
Margueritem: That is a great line. Never heard it served up like that before.
Where are the girlfriend robots??? Fr cryin’ out loud, in a situation like this you need the girlfriend robots.
Their job is to try to get the guys to quit fighting. The guy robots spend a good deal of time posturing and trying to act tough while secretly hoping their girlfriends can break up the fight.
Now, without the GF robots, these guys will have to actually fight sooner or later.
Note that on the flip side, it doesn’t work. When GF robots start to fight each other, all anybody else can do is stand back and watch because NOTHING will stop GF robots from trying to kill each other.
Gweedo Murray says:
Sorry Ray. You invented, I just expanded.
Hope I didn’t sound sarcastic, Gweedo. (Now that I read it, it does sound sarcastic.) It was meant as a sincere compliment.
I mostly just let the Pibgorn comments go by, also. I’m not a gamer, so a lot of it is just too complicated. Also, by the time I log on (about 8 EST), there are about 100 comments already.

Cliche indeed, margueritem!
Tomorrow we’ll hear the words “showdown” and “high noon”!
Meanwhile, the bad guys are slipping out the back door…

Oh, wait, no they don’t…they arrest them.

The robots’ dialogue is quickly degenerating from “Mumbles” to “LOLCat”. :)

Oh, I hope Locher uses the ‘Badges’ line in this story. It’s one of my favorites, right along with “Frankly, Scallop, I don’t give a clam.”
bassmanbob about 16 years ago
Might be time for me to “Giddyap” out of here and let the story play itself out.
Peace.

This makes me yearn for the witty banter and intricate plots of “Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers”.

Hey, what happened to the little speaker in the side of Robo-Dick’s neck? It seems to have disappeared and gone away.
