Plating is what’s wrong today.
We used to do the plate-lap-juggle from the couch until we got smart and hung a TV in the dining room. (We can talk anytime; meals are enjoyed with entertainment.)
Are the both of them left-handed? Why not eat spaghetti from a bowl? Will they go hiking again?
So many questions . . .

Betty’s never heard of TV trays? Or maybe they just can’t afford them.
I like a big pizza with beer or wine when I watch the Saturday night Svengoolie movie.

I remember a Mad Magazine “advertisement” for a tray that hooked over the ears so you could eat without taking your eyes off the TV…
