Nurses make the difference in a hospital stay. (You rarely see the doctor). They are truly angels from heaven. HAPPY NURSE DAY TO ALL YOU TIRELESS NURSES OUT THERE!
With three generations of nurses in my family, the shop talk could be interesting. The humor a bit elusive, since they were all worked in the ER, Med Flights and ICU. When they told you to do something, you just didn’t argue. Even if it was your ‘young’ Niece.
Now that’s my kind of Mom. I teach my grandkids all the gross songs I know. Nose picking, bare butts, etc. They love it. My kids don’t complain because I taught those same songs to them nearly 40 years ago.
I had lost track that your mother was a nurse (and I haven’t forgotten that your wife is one). My sister is one and I (briefly) worked in a hospital in the staff area. The humor can be graphic! I’m sure you’re aware that it’s a kind of black humor — you laugh or else you cry. :)

Nurses’ Day should be everyday. They are the front line of care and they really do care.

We had a hospice nurse that was really special, she was helpful in many ways beyond mere medical care
