reminds me of a time when I made a print of one of my photos as a gift to a friend, and started to write on the white margin some dedication words and stuff …. it was that moment that I’ve realized that I could subconsciously read Greek and Chinese together but it wouldn’t show till I write down something
Calligraphy can be beautiful to behold and satisfying to create, but even to experienced eyes the message can seem to be almost subliminal. No matter, I hang it up anyway. Sometimes in matte and frame, sometimes with magnet on the fridge.

This gets really existential: forgiving your younger self for in-the-moment snarky remarks…. Trying my best to think this one through.

I have a cousin who has excellent penmanship. I wish mine was as good as hers.
