Every new batch presents different problems. Some come on rolls. Some are accordioned with twist ties. Some are stuffed into boxes. But, they have one thing in common, you can never ever get them back into the original container the way they were.
I am very lucky. Our house is not visible from the street. Therefore, there is no sense decorating it on the outside. It does not take that much to decorate the inside.
I don’t even have to do it. My wife actually puts up the decorations. I get to schlepp the boxes to / from the garage.

No not really. After untangling climbing up and down ladders. Putting up the Christmas lights. That’s exercising.

Over the many years of dealing with the dam xmas lights to find this toon to have some truth to it. This includes hanging them up outside!
