Well, here in California, we’re coincidentally at the beginning of a “Pineapple Express” weather event… an airborne “atmospheric river” of moisture heading towards the west coast from the Pacific ocean, near Hawaii, and scheduled to dump up to 18" in some places over the next few days.
Maybe if Agnes could just channel and harness some of it, it could make pineapples grow in Ohio.
An “orchard” would mean that there are trees. The trees would have to grow more than a year before there could be “pods” to harvest. Agnes is always such an optimist with her imagination of the course of the way things work. Gotta love her!
You can actually grow a pineapple from “planting” a pineapple “top”, though I suspect that grandma could ill-afford to buy a whole pineapple to get her started – and there are climatological reasons WHY we don’t grow them on the mainland, as well – and they’re both wading through one of them as they speak…
Pineapple has a long growing season, between 18 and 24 months. Here in the Florida Panhandle we often go several years without a frost so luck out and get a pineapple then. Same with trying to grow bananas. My wife’s an avid gardener and likes the challenge.

well Trout – you need a course in advertising: Take an ordinary thing, give it a fancy name, and sell it. Those are just fava beans

Pineapple pods are a great idea, except when they capture people and produce pineapple/people duplicates
