I have known several male bosses who confided that some of their best female employees worked best when they were angry and under pressure. They were over-achievers who felt the need to continually “prove” themselves. Unscrupulous bosses love such people and often don’t give them the credit they deserve — they take it for themselves, instead, as effective managers. It’s almost evil.
