I thought J*ff was a big fan of the Winnipeg Windjammers.

You know you’re in trouble when you see Jim Cantore standing in front of your house with a camera crew and microphone!

Is Sweeps Week even still a big deal? It was back when there was only three networks and they all had to fight for the same viewers. Now viewers are so spread out that that I would think trying to have a Sweeps Week would be meaningless.

Then there is the Oklahoma Hooker coming up from the panhandle – will always hit somewhere in the Midwest

    That’s what I would call a “stormgasm”.

WTH is a Winnipeg Windjammer? I guess I should know but this is the first I’ve heard of it. I must not get into the big city very often. Sounds cold, though.

Just curious, is anyone else besides me completely disgusted with what Comics Kingdom has turned into? I’m planning on “deleting” it from my morning routine, which is too bad because there are a couple of strips there I really like, but the hassle has become too great.

Station forecasting centers have a tank of nitrous oxide that they huff as the weather gets more exciting. This is my guess of why they are getting more manic and their eyes aren’t pointing in the same direction.

I gave up watching TV weather when they started naming snowstorms.

The description sounded like wrestling moves…..“a super low pressure system combined with a Winnepeg Windjammer….”.

Bomb cyclone, Winnipeg Windjammer, atmospheric river…I overnighted in Oklahoma City a week ago, and woke up in the motel to watch iced over roads on local TV. Apparently we’d slept through “thundersleet”. It looked so bad we considered staying there another day, but I-40 was dry when we decided to move on. I’ve read since that meteorologists are concerned about the naming of severe weather phenomena.

More made up terms from the Lord of Language. Also someone should let Batty know that Sweeps Weeks disappeared quite a while ago.
