Calvin would later dream of making millions as a makeup artist and special effects whiz for horror movies.

As things go nowadays, I’m afraid, at the next rerun of this strip they would blot out “his or her”.

Looks like it’s back to the principal’s office for Calvin!!

I think it’s really clever, and that he should win the contest.

I’ll bet if Hobbes was there to present, Calvin would have gotten a better reception to his gore-a-rama.

Never realized that 3D-Gore-O-Rama had applied for a patent.

Always go first and set the bar. It will either be too high, too low or just right. First usually is most memorable too. I always disliked going last.

Calvin has a future in designing cigarette packages.

I like the whole concept Calvin,but mass producing them has more than a few problems.

Sometimes Cal’s lunch has the same group reaction.

I bet Miss Wormwood was repulsed, too! She should know that whenever Calvin volunteers to go first in presenting something for the class, it’s not going to be great. And at least to Calvin, splAttering spaghetti sauce on the poster was more fun than trying to split the prize money with Hobbes in advance.

Actually, I think it’s a pretty good poster (except for the spaghetti sauce).

I think Bill has these traits of self love and supremacy at young age.

It’s good to see Calvin so excited about school work.

He’s a winner today with that poster. Must give Hobbs some credit too. Calvin worked hard and with heaps of enthusiasm research and delegation. Hobbs deserves credit for his artwork and input. Cadmium red and spaghetti sauce; what a combination. Give him the five bucks they earned.
