Serious subject, but I can’t help chuckling over the reversed "e"s in “free” and the misspelling of “library”.

Why are they banning “Wrinkle in Time?” It can’t (well shouldn’t) be religion. I have always thought of L’Engle as a religious person. And I mean that in a good way.

Never mind, I did a search, and the villains are the usual suspects. Perhaps they recognize themselves as the villains in the book, who want everyone toeing the same line all at the same time … forever.

Yeah, but “Hop on Pop”?? WTF??

At least they don’t burn them – yet.

Book banning is one of the first steps to dictatorships.

Literature is essential in our lives. We need it to expand our imaginations and creativity. Banning books is a complete and total crime, all thanks to stupid and whiny moral guardians. Verne is doing the right thing by keeping those books.

A lot of people didn’t learn their history and are now repeating it. They should at least read Fahrenheit. 451! Oh, was that banned too???

This comic is somewhat of a distraction from the very real problems and concerns that many parents have: that their schools or some of the teachers in their schools are exposing their very young children to material (especially sexually explicit material) that they view as inappropriate; and that they are promoting political, social, sexual, and/or “moral” agendas which are contrary to their beliefs.

Garbage cans and cinder blocks. Hammer, hammer, saw, saw?…

Can’t get into the argument about books. It not fair to argue with idiots. How can you tell they’re the idiots? Read what books and why they’re banning them.

Only one book was not allowed in our school when I was at grade 8 level. It was NOT in the library but almost everyone had a copy and was reading it. It became more popular when one of the teachers disclosed she was a former associate of the author. Xaviera Hollander – The Happy Hooker.

Slavery, killing, torcher, are generally considered bad and should not be shown as good things. Lets ban the Bible. Banning cuts both ways. That is if you are being honest about it.

Gee, I totally understand that ‘Hop On Pop’ encouraged children to use violence against their fathers and was banned in Canada. Aayyup. Seuss must be spinning in his grave.
