Counting years — I do that too. In fact, at work, I have a whole spreadsheet of dates and how long it’s been. Just passed 15 years on the job, coming up on some hard ones soon. And counting years by glasses, do that too.
Humm…………counting years by glasses huh? I’ve had so many years go by that I can’t even count THEM without a calendar. But of course I’m getting a bit senile so it doesn’t really matter now anyway :-)
I started working at age 12, and retired 50 years later. No telling how many pairs of glasses I went through. But the first pair, I bought (I didn’t want to be stuck in pink plastic frames like my older sister) with my mother’s blessing since I asked her if I paid for them could I get what I wanted? Silver, hexagon wireframes. Hey, it was the 70s. At least they weren’t round John Denver glasses. I would have looked hideous in round frames.
