True enough. It may not be OUR progress, but if it’s getting the job done and the kid is doing it seriously, be supportive, not spartan. Proof Herb is a really good dad! :)

I’d never heard of “doddling” till today. To doddle means to do an easy task. It can also refer to something stupid or lazy. The latter seems to fit here.
