Going off on a big ol’ tangent here since I brought up digital newspapers: I’m 22. I don’t read the newspaper. In fact, I don’t know a single person in my age group who does. I get most of my news from the internet, and a little from TV. I see the decline of newspapers and I feel bad for them, but having to pay for a big newspaper that I only want to read a small fraction of just really isn’t feasible for me when I can just find the news I’m looking for on free websites. What can be done to save the newspapers? Is it doomed? There’s really no advantage to newspapers over the internet and TV that I can see, especially given that newspapers can’t be updated in real time like websites can.

Well, you can try reading one of the outdated periodicals.
We hear Sears & Roebuck published a great resource when you were a kid.

Just take your phone into the bathroom and read the paper’s website (might want to bring your credit card with you though)
