One time I had a transfer in Pittsburg, and the flight was running late. As I left the plane I told them that my next flight was to Dulles (outside of Washington DC). They told me to get on the shuttle that would take me to the other wing of the airport. When I got to the gate that they told me I saw that it was a flight to Dallas, and that the flight I was to be on was only 2 gates away from the plane that I had just left.

That was a long run through the airport, but fortunately I made it to my flight.

They should get rid of the planes and just use the sidewalk!

Doing a quick google search, it seems that the most number of gates at any U.S, airport is 195.

Airports are gated communities.

United to Delta or American connection at O’Hare.

Or terminal to anything other than Delta at Atlanta

And don’t forget about the bathroom break guys.

thought I’d have time for a drink between flights at O’hare. By the time I found my gate was almost late.

Frankfurt airport is so big, they have V gates.

Reminds me of the Charlotte Airport.

Last year my wife and I were hustling through the terminal trying to make our next flight which had already boarded. We made it, the last 2 to board. However, as we were speed walking to the gate I stumbled and went down. She was directly in front of me and I fell into her legs causing her to fall also. There we were, two older folks rolling on the floor right at our gate in front to 3 startled gate agents. After a couple of moments, they over came their shock and offered to help us up. Fortunately, we were uninjured and it is now a humorous story.

On this day, prayers for the fallen, the injured, their caretakers, their families, and thanks for their dedication to the oath they swore to uphold.

Why is it when you have a connecting flight it is never at the terminal that you just landed at?

The gate my wife and I need is inevitably at the farthest end of the terminal. We get a lot of exercise that way.

That walk is even longer when the people in front of you don’t keep walking or move to the side and let others pass, ugh!

they will both be surprised when they see the next gate is 34 then 33……….!.

Oh, the stressed out faced of air travelers.

You still got to walk and walk fast on those moving sidewalks to make it to far away gate.

Yes, there will be a snack cart along the way but you won’t be able to get off the moving walk for another 500 feet. And after you finally reach your gate the airline will have changed your gate to a different concourse, and while they were at it, they move your seat back more six rows. No lie, that was me yesterday.

Stuck on the moving sidewalk of life.

Must be Dallas. It takes forever to get anywhere in that airport.

Are they in Chicago or Atlanta?

How airports have changed from my day…

Your gate is at another airport… about a twenty minute drive to your destination.

Walking would be faster.

You will probably see a small restaurant, Frank.
