Cathy: He doesn't like his hair, so... Irving: Stop telling people I don't like my hair!! Cathy: That's how we problem-solve! Irving: What?? Cathy: We share! Vent! Expose all our insecurities! Get everyone's opinion! Irving: THAT'S NOT HOW MEN PROBLEM-SOLVE! MEN PROBLEM-SOLVE BY SAYING NOTHING TO ANYBODY!! Cathy: He doesn't like his hair or our superior way of dealing with things.

We do it that way because someone will know how to fix it or by talking it over we can figure out a cure. At least she can make fun of the way we do it.

Men and Wemen are very different, both physically and mentally, so I don’t see the point of making fun of our differences.

ejcapulet, in my experience people sharing their problems isn’t about finding solutions at all; it’s about finding empathy. If someone is describing about a problem and actually has a solution offered, the second person is taken to task. This seems true of both genders:
Woman1: Situation X is upsetting me. Woman2: You poor dear! Let’s tell everyone we know.
Man1: Situation X is upsetting me. Man2: Amen, brother. Have a beer.
Compared to:
EitherGender1: SItuation X is upsetting me. EitherGender2: I think you should do Y. EitherGender1: (Cold stare)
