I would offer a choice. She’s sleepwalking through classes right now. Not good. So the choice would be skipping a grade next year or taking a couple of AP courses over the summer.
Is it now up to the student to decide whether to skip a grade? I don’t think that was the case when I was in school. Not that I was in any danger of finding out.
