Several years ago I went on a 2 week business trip with 3 colleagues (one female who didn’t carry a purse, and two men). They all made fun of my large purse. So one day during lunch I went out and bought a small purse. Sure enough, the next day they were all asking for dental floss, eyeglass cleaner, etc., and I said “Sorry, my small purse doesn’t have room for all that stuff.” They were sorry also, having come to rely on me for everything. They never made fun of my purse again!
