An SUV is more common on the road than passenger cars, I have two, a Dodge Journey and a Chevy Equinox, I would not purchase another vehicle without AWD. If you live in a city or urban area I guess you don’t really need it, but where I live, it’s needed.
Instead of an SUV go for one of those jacked up four wheel drive pickups. Not only will you be able to see over traffic you’ll be able to drive over it.
