    Why do so many people have a problem hanging up on a business that does this? If a company makes me wait more than 5 min (and I time it), I hang up, and take my custom somewhere else- and then write an actual letter, not an email, to the company, telling them what I did, and that I will not bother to ask them to take my money in future. I usually get a prompt response, and many offer inducements to try to lure me back…lol. But unless one of the inducements is a much-improved wait-time (which has not yet happened..lol), they’ve lost me for good.

    Just hang up. I’ve gotten calls that after you answer, you are instructed by a robot to please hold and then you hear music. Why would anyone wait?
