Husband’s hair is longer than it was when he was young in the 1960s/70s.
Two reasons -1 – His parents are not around to tell him to cut his hair.2 – We are 18th century reenactors and he wears his hair in a que (pony tail) appropriate to the period so he has it as same for the events.
Also long hair is so much easier to deal with. When his hair gets too long I cut the excess off his que, trim the sides with a snip or two on each side and shave his neck for him.
I wear long hair up in a hair clip (metal barrette at reenactments as easier to hide under my cap). When it is too long, I put it in a pony tail, flip same over my head and – snip – it is cut shorter. If not even does not matter as always up when I am out of the house.

Who needs hair anyway? Men like Yul Brynner, Telly Savalas and Patrick Stewart could tell you they were sexy with little or no hair at all!

My dad would say, “They don’t put marble tops on cheap furniture”.

I just shave mine all off. It is a lot better for swimming.

God only created so many perfect heads. The rest He covered with hair. (Yes, I’m bald)

The wider the part gets (and farther back it starts).
It’s somewhat like Moses, but instead of saying “Let my people go.”, it’s “Let my forehead show.”

No need for a part when you don’t have enough to part. I just have the wife buzz it all off.

My part is just as wide as it was in 1978, although the fringe is white now.
