It doesn’t need to work, it just needs to put money in the right pockets.

Why not embed inductive wire loops in highways that can charge these electric cars as they drive?

just add a sliding pickup so cord doesn’t need to move and a set of tracks to keep vehicle in right position for pickup, then perhaps making it big enough to carry lots of people for efficiency – Trams/streetcar/trolley or train

Put a generator with a wheel that interacts with the tire to power it.

Senator, do you have a plan on how to decrease the distance electric vehicles can travel? … Extension cords.

Cars and trucks should only be used for short haul. Transport truck trailers on trains and rent cars at the destination.

I don’t think there is enough copper and/or aluminum on the planet to electrify roadways.

That’s the true logic about electric car. Remember that California has mandated replacing all gas cars with electric cars, even though their electrical infrastructure cannot handle the load the state already has, and they have no plan to improve the electric grid…

I have solar on my house and own a F-150 Lightning. Made several long distance trips.

For around town and commuting to work, the truck is fabulous. Charging on a longer distance trip…….Whole different ballgame.

The infrastructure and support for this wholesale change doesn’t exist now, and any “upgrades” will barely get us to what we need now, never mind the future.

But that won’t stop certain politicians from giving millions upon millions to their political contributors and pet companies.
