First you do the illustrations for the advertising, then use that for the inspiration of all sorts of comical hijinks.

Actually, the problem is the opposite. There are no more corset makers. But with the internet, there are MORE cartoonists. The same is true of all content. Newspapers limited the supply of available comics strips. As well as opinion columnists. And the recording industry limited the supply of music. Now, the supply of content is effectively infinite, and works like any other supply and demand.

Oooooooh, I think there is a very different niche market for buggy whip wielders dressed in corsets than Scott may be familiar with.

There are folks not too far from me who make buggies, and you can buy corsets online. Just because there are popular new jobs doesn’t mean the old jobs go away.

In the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy they took all the people with worthless jobs and shot them into space.

Buggy whip, a favorite saying by the late Jim Price, a Detroit Tiger broadcaster!

Go to a Steampunk festival or a Renn Faire. Plenty of both!

Animal rights put an end to some uses of the buggy-whip, but it may complete the outfit with the corset.

I’m glad I I retired when I did because 2 of the 3 legs of my business revenue model would have been sawn off by changes in how information/training is conveyed.

Buggy whip and corset makes are still around, they just found new markets for their goods.
