Back when I flew every month my luggage would always get lost. It showed up a few days later. I kept what I needed in a little flight bag to tide me over until it showed up.
I asked the airline to fly me from New York to Seattle via Miami, Denver, Atlanta and Chicago. They told me, “We can’t do that.” I responded, “Yes you can. That’s the route my luggage took the last time I flew with you.”
In reality, if there is one thing the airlines do right, it does seem to be luggage. They used to lose it a lot in the bad old days. My wife have had recent flights with last minute changes at interim stops. Some of them down to minutes as to whether we would make standby. Our luggage still managed to make it.
On the list of jobs that you can’t pay me enough to do is baggage handler. Come to think of it any job associated with the airlines is on that list.
Ha! When arriving at Heathrow, I heard my name announced over the speaker to come to the desk! I just knew it was about my luggage! Sure enough, my luggage went to France and I had to wait for the airline to deliver my luggage late in the afternoon….I was up over 24 hours by then….
“A plane flying from Zurich to Spain this weekend arrived without a single piece of luggage onboard, unbeknownst to the passengers, media reported Sunday, as the airline blamed ground staff shortages.”

Good thing we don’t travel in pods. Our luggage would arrive all right, but we’d be lost.

That was an easy prediction to make, she’s going with the odds.

You buy the ticket for where YOU want to go, they sent your bags to where THEY want them to go. Get over it.
