One of the guys at the factory my Dad used to work at would come and ask him what week he was taking his holidays…so that he could book his on a different week, because it always seemed to rain when my Dad took his.
Looks like somebody has been spending the summer in Nova Scotia. Record rains this year, and rainy every weekend except this one that just passed (and even still it rained a bit yesterday afternoon)
One summer several years ago this pattern was occurring. One Sunday the Pastor started his sermon with, “What do you get after two days of rain?” The answer was, “Monday.”

They keep announcing rain for our drought ridden region on the weekends…and it keeps not coming.

I don’t mind this sometimes. It forces me to slow down and take a break. Plus, the sound of the rain on our back room roof is enough to induce coma.

The answer is obvious: flexible workdays… work during rainy days, off during sunny days…
