I’m surprised the last section isn’t the rest of the store!

Meh, short for autobiography.

I remember a local comic book store that had a couple sections, called “Best Sellers”, and “Worst Sellers” with a small subsection; Caution, all books in this section are covered in dust because they haven’t moved from this shelf in months or even years!

I forget! Which one has The Collected Works of Ziggy?

Why isn’t the “meh” section bigger? It should be bigger than the other two combined.

Even farther down … “Unpopular Fiction” and “Worst-Sellers”

If you’re in a red state you can have a stack of empty shelves for “Banned Books”

I always go for the banned books first.

Is MEH the Jewish section?

In my day, the Meh section was called “Classics”

The “meh” section doesn’t usually get shelved. It’s the stack of bargain books on card tables in the rain out in front of the bookstore. :)

Yes, the “meh” section should be relatively huge. The tiniest section should be books of real significance.

“Meh”? Guessing the bookstore employee who came up with that one failed their class in advertising and marketing.

But it does remind me of sorting through my books about 8 years ago, when I downsized from a house to an apartment. I had several categories, including:

Read it, loved it, have to keep it.

Haven’t read it yet but really want to.

Read it and likely won’t pick it up again.

Never read it and probably never will.

I love to read but for some reason I have not read a full book in about 4 months and I truly miss the pleasure and relaxation of it so I am determined to get back to it by the new year. My local library probably thinks I moved. Right now my mind is too jumbled and I am to stressed and tired to even think about reading anything more than my newspaper.
