I love re-reading these comics from the 1880’s.

i have two dear friends i’ve known since 2006, their daughter was born here and just graduated college…they have been “illegal” all this time, not because they’re not trying, and not the fault of the USA either, their home country has refused to cooperate…got great news Christmas Eve, when they told me paperwork finally gone through they are legal now…after 24 years…you just don’t know what they have gone through or what other immigrants are going through

A relative said these exact words recently. Another idiotic talking point that reasoned people know is false but fools just eat up, sigh.

Yes, the Abenaki Sagamore, Arawaks, Tainos, and Lucayans would be very interested in controlling those pesty foreigners coming across the border.

I doubt a guy like him would know who Schrodinger was.

From what I’ve seen, it’s the local yokels who are doing jack, collecting welfare, shopping at the food banks, even stealing from thrift shops, yet they somehow have money for smokes & dope.

Work is anathema to them. Plenty of jobs available. Practically every shop has a sign in the window. For farm work we have to import foreign labour because the local yokels don’t want to get their hands dirty.

Immigrants tend to work hard. They see the opportunities. And it might seem like heaven compared to where they came from.
