My sister-in-law is visiting us from out of country. We’ve never done Christmas together since either of us have been married to our respective spouses. So we had a second Christmas dinner last night.
It’s about a month late but we’re making the holiday fit our calendar instead of the calendar telling us what to celebrate.
I once bought my father-in-law a birthday card that said “Take it easy on your birthday. You can take down the Christmas lights tomorrow.” His birthday was in June.

Like Scrooge, they keep Christmas in their hearts all year ’round!

Wonderful. More light up the skies moments when one is trying to sleep.

we got buried in snow right after the first of January. As far as I am concerned, they are staying there until it is safe to get them in.

My neighbor has left up his 8 foot wreath for three years, claiming he can’t disturb the robin’s nest that is in there.

Down here, some people try to straddle a Christmas / Mardi Gras lite thing, thus, being able to keep them up for months.

My tree is still up. I have a neighbor whose mailbox is still decorated.
In my case it started raining as soon as I was finishing packing up the decorations. I may get to the tree this week.
But Orthodox Epiphany was just last week.
