Now is the perfect time to attack the cat! Peekaboo can’t do anything to defend herself while hanging to the pole with all her limbs. So she will be the perfect target. Instead of being the hunter.
I lived in a place with a partially glassed-in balcony. My cat would get outside the glass and walk on a two-inch wide protrusion to the corner, where he could keep an eye on the neighbor’s bird house, ten feet away on their balcony.
There was no possible way he could reach it but he was out there every day.
Worse, there was no room to turn around, so he had to walk backwards twenty feet on the narrow ledge, when he got bored with the view. One day, I saw him trying to turn around vertically . He slipped and caught himself and then hauled himself back up, but he was still facing the wrong way. :)
Don’t put a perching stick on the outside of a birdhouse: the songbirds don’t need them, and predators like jays and crows will use them to reach inside and kill the young.

Obscene. Cats are an invasive species that have decimated the songbird population. Keep cats indoors.

Seen this before ……. not a re-run, but the joke has been here here before.

The whole flock could come round and shriek at Peekaboo until she retreats. Then all perch outside the house and look smug.

Naps are not over-rated! It’s just your plan for a nap has been postponed. Or has it be pre-empted??

Whoever designed that birdhouse was very smart. Peekaboo is stuck and even a squirrel would have trouble getting on the platform.

I think Peekaboo saw the time Sylvester sneaked into Tweety’s birdhouse, and she thought, I can do that.
