Hello again, all…. and welcome to the comments page for ….
the March 8th 2018 “CLEO and COMPANY”
Which you can read on Sherpa:

While we’re here…..
Say hello to Sybil and Martin.
They’re such nice people….
and they have an admirably active social life….
even if most of the time it’s just between the two of them.
(Facilitated, now and then, by their good friend Gloopy.)
OMG! Can Cleo really play a grande dame of such heavy demeanor?
Meanwhile the Ballard strip is quite cute!
Where is everyone? Am I on the wrong date, again?
Ah, this was in the days before Blue Mountain kibble was de rigueur for state dinners.
“We are not amused.” (to be spoken in a haughty, James-Masonish tone of voice)
Kudos to Sybil & Martin for their commitment to keeping the home fires burning.
Amazing!
This is one of my favorites…..
So beautiful…. like a 16th century painting come to life.
I can’t believe the hours in the make-up chair!
To say nothing of the teams of little dogs, sewing bead after bead, couching golden thread,
and attaching realistic-looking gems and pearls, onto costume after costume…
a truly magnificent wardrobe.
I’m sure the humans did an imitation….
Of course, their star lacked those big brown eyes….
and what about those silky ears?
And for this exact dress and hair…. I could only find a Japanese poster….
But this Queen …um… doesn’t appear to be Japanese… or a basset hound.

And you may note…. she is NOT holding the Royal Biscuits!
Probably not allowed to touch them!
It makes me think of Bette Davisdog and Arou Flynn in Elizabassett and Essex.
My grandfather’s first name was Clive.
Awww. How pretty! Love her purplie earrings. Those Royals sure know how to dress and bejewel themselves! Is that a Basset Broach Her Highness is wearing?
All Hail the Queen! Just beautiful!
