See, Claude…always keep lots of batteries on hand, especially when you’re going to be snowed in.

Clearly an early C & C, as C gives us a cursory “wuf!” just to prove she can.

C+C: Love the purplie-pink curtains in panel 3! So nice of Claude to remember Cleo in the midst of all this. I suspect he got a hot dog too at some point!

Cleo didn’t tell Claude because she knew that he would bring something home to eat.

That’s a mistake I make once in a while. We used to have a universal remote. Worked great, until a few years later. We upgraded our TV, then the remote died from old age. Didn’t want to pay the huge bill to have the guy come out and re-program everything. So, we sit with 4 remotes again. Anyone have an extra 500 bucks they’re not using?

Oh yes. I’m positive that Claude had a couple of hot dogs himself, too. (but he didn’t buy the purplie kind)

A hot dog sounds good. Would you mind going back out, Claude?

At least Claude got the right batteries. My trick is to get home with the new AA’s to discover the remote takes AAA’s!

Back in the 80s when VCRs were new technology, I bought one. Mom asked me to tape a Christmas special for her as she had to work. She was going to watch the next day when I was at work, so I left detailed instructions: turn on the TV, set to channel 3, turn on VCR, press play (the triangle).

When I got home, she said it wouldn’t work. I asked her to show me what she did. She turned on the TV and set to channel 3. Then she turned on the stereo and pressed play.
