I know the shield of boringness is necessary to prevent initial surprise of unicorns, but after a while, it just seems redundant.

So what makes him think his magnificent glow is better than the magnificent glows of all of the other unicorns present at Unicon, or, for that matter, why any one would want to prioritize getting it from only him rather than get a bit of magnificent glow from all of the unicorns present and let it add up that way?
