I went to fetch my cat in the field around the corner. I heard her coming with her proud siren of a “Got Prey” meow. She carried the kangaroo rat more than 100 yards to take it to the more confined area of a drainage basin. I could tell she really enjoyed catching it. I watched while she caught it two more times before it wandered into the bushes.
The two of us went looking for it. I stumbled over her and fell into a very soft patch of high grass. I must have accidentally kicked her on the way down. It took another minute to find her. It was another hour before we were friends again. Fortunately, neither of us were hurt much.

If he is a mouser, I am surprised that he walso hid mice.

Stumpy’s sneaky.

Should have stolen socks. They go missing all the time, so less suspicious.

People don’t appreciate having their hand towels filched, Mittens.

I’d suggest that those are harder/heavier to drag around but I’ve seen videos of cats that do it.

I hope it doesn’t put her off mousing. :)
