Dad will hold Monroe so I can trim him.

It takes two to trim nails – one to hold and one to snip. There is no earthly way that one person can do the job solo.

Angie, haven’t you learned that you don’t give them advance notice of Clipping Time?

Has Mittens ever tried any #fancy nail tips like Fiona? Maybe silver ones that would look #tough like steel?

My two cats sit on my lap and purr while I trim their nails…front and back! Of course they weren’t always that way, but they are now and it makes life a lot easier.

Good luck with that, Angie. Cats hide in pretty good spots.

I guess I should take my life into my hands and try trimming my clowder’s nails.

This made me laugh out loud! Brad trims the boys’ nail without a problem. They won’t let me do it.

My first 2 (Zoomer & Yeti) were mellow and let me trim their claws.

Rose, on the other hand, hates it.

I have to work nail-trimming for Raz into her daily five-minutes of mandatory “lovey-dovey” time. She’s so contented by then, I can trim one nail before she takes offense.

I think she got trained in the animal shelter to enjoy five minutes a day of petting, fur ruffling, ear nibbling and general fingernail-massage. Oh, she usually gets more attention throughout the day but if it is a busy “catting” season outdoors, she can get by with the minimum and still be happy.

Diesel will actually allow me to do his nails without too much struggle. At least for now.

I know just how you feel. Not looking forward to it, though.

Definitely a composition for four human hands and one feline mouth. Since I live alone, I have to inveigle a friend into helping.
