speaking of wearing a helmet (or not), the nimrods in our area of japan are proudly not wearing a helmet when cycling. japan finally passed a law mandating helmets and the police have been gently encouraging scofflaws to get with the program, with little or no success in our area, where people would rather have pretty hair when they get hit by a truck… ☺
