I grew up knowing that Santa was make-believe. My mother had a very bad experience finding out about Santa, and didn’t want that to happen to us. It never hurt us to “be in the know,” so when I had kids, I told them the same. It never bothered them to know something that the other kids in the neighbourhood didn’t know. :)
Most kids figure it out pretty early by themselves but they like to enjoy pretending and going along with the fun I know I did for years it’s fun to make believe
