It makes the strip this week, but if they would tell her Santa has multiple names known from different languages/countries, would put her mind at ease.
Wonder how Santa got the Kris Kringle moniker. There is a historical basis for the Saint Nick but Kris Kringle?? Cool it. Many people have several names. Growing up, my name was a short for a longer name so I had a legal name and a nickname. Then in college my friends told me my nickname did not suit me and gave me a new one. So I am known by those three names.
My husband & I never did the Santa thing with our daughters. However, when they got to school age, we impressed upon them that some kids believed so don’t spoil it for them.
When I was in grade school, our teacher had us research Santa’s different names and their origins. I can’t remember if we were assigned names or got to choose. It was a fun assignment.

I suppose they daren’t tell her the real truth — that “Santa” is a lie
the little blabbermouth would ruin it for both her younger siblings — not to mention all the other kids at school

The elves don’t know. He has something on them, or they wouldn’t work for him. I have heard many of them have dreams of better careers.

Father Christmas. Sinterklaas. Pere Noel. An international man of intrigue.
