"I dread coming to the corner...I know just what's going to happen.." Charlie Brown thinks as he walks down the block with Lucy.<BR><BR> He thinks, "The life you save may be a fussbudsget.." as they continue down the street. Charlie Brown looks at Lucy from out of the corner of his eye.<BR><BR> "Let me have your hand, Lucy, as we cross the street.." He offers, holding out his hand as they reach the curb.<BR><BR> "OH, NO YOU DON'T!" Lucy cries, whipping her arm away.<BR><BR> She claps her arms across her chest and declares, "I know your kind, Charlie Brown! You just want to hold hands!" he throws up his arms in exasperation and cries, "OH, GOOD GRIEF! Here we go again!"<BR><BR> He leans toward her and shouts, "YOU'RE THE MOST AGGRAVATING PERSON IN THE WORLD!!"<BR><BR> She leans towards him: "I DON'T CARE!! I'm not going to hold hands with ANY boy!"<BR><BR> He thorws up his hands and walks ahead of her. He says, "All right. Get run over by a car then! CROSS THE STREET BY YOURSELF!!" Lucy looks thoughtful.<BR><BR> "Wait a minute, Charlie Brown.." Lucy says from the curb. Charlie Brown stands in the street and turns around, "Now what?" he asks.<BR><BR> She holds up her hands and examines them: "I've got an idea..." she says. [PANEL 11]: They cross the street, with Charlie Brown grasping onto the mitten which hangs by a clip to the sleeve of Lucy's coat. Lucy smiles; Charlie Brown frowns.<BR><BR>
