Ah yes. I was laid off ten months ago thanks to downsizing, and have been job-hunting since. Mercifully, I’ve got a phone interview next week. Only part time, but better than nothing…at least it’ll help to stretch out my unemployment coverage.
All of this is just my way of saying “Hmmm…this sounds strangely familiar.”
At the rate things are going at my company I could end up being a Wal-Mart greeter by next Labor Day. At least I’ll have a pension, just enough to pay the utilities & keep food on the table

Retirement is no safety net. We retired 16 years ago and now they are taking away some of our “benefits and pension”. God bless GM:-{
