Ask Ted Turner about colorizing the old b/w classic movies.

Hey, GoComics, now that you have “Mutt and Jeff”, “Li’l Abner”, and “Little Nemo”, how about adding “Pogo” to the line-up?

Its one thing when the original artists takes on someone specifically with the intent to replace himself after he retires, a few strips have done this, BC, Hermann, but its another when its done without the original artists knowledge or blessing… granted its hard to get a blessing if the OA has passed. Then It depends on who actually owns the rights.

I dunno…Guy Gilchrist does a great job on Nancy.

Suspect a lot of those great comics are lost forever.

Though at the time of this strip, Nancy was being done by Jerry Scott.

Also, somewhat awkwardly for Breathed’s point, Pogo at the time at been revived by Kelly’s daughter.

I love me some Pogo! I used to love seeing the cartoon in the paper every day and still miss them. “I has seen the future and it is us.”
