That’s quite alright, Kerry dear. It appears Edwin has all the conversational energy the room needs all by himself. You just let him carry the load while you catch a few quick winks.
And a perfect film for anyone not afraid of headless men…. wild, savage horses, with glowing eyes …. flaming pumpkins…. misty woods, on dark, foggy nights…
And what looks to be a tall, threatening tree monster.
But I’m 5 for 5…. so you guys go, and tell me all about it, OK?
Actually, you don’t have to. Go, yes. Describe… no, that’s OK.
But I’ll be there, at Kerry and Edwin’s, for the conversation.
Kerry baked cookies… and she needs someone to take over talking to Edwin for a while.
Not that they didn’t both look at Cleo… they’re ready for the discussion…. but Kerry may slip away for a nap.
Liverlips…. that was a big role for Cleo…. but by no means her first.
Cleo and Company is a small studio….
She was its biggest star from the beginning.
First she was billed simply as “Cleo,” for a couple of starring roles almost a year before October of 2016, when this film came out.
If you look through the early weeks of that year, you’ll see that as the studio and Cleo’s career gained momentum,
they began to attract more and more big name stars,
and by February she was billed as Cleo Clifford….
Here she is in early March, with her name above the title!
This is an awesome poster, Stel. I feel sorry for that terrified horse! He has no choice but to carry that, that, that monster! I guess Cleo is doing a good job of hiding from him, too. (I’ll stop hiding behind the couch as soon as y’all say it’s over.)
Okay, so I don’t watch scary movies. But……..I love watching the Disney version.

Such freedom, Kerry. I’ll bet it feels good.

Hey, I remember this feeling! It strikes when you realize that your date is boring you to death and he’s not actually noticing what you’re doing.

Yeah, but if she spills her tea in her lap who is she going to sue?

I am no seasoned observer, but is this the first appearance of Cleo Clifford as a marquee star?

Welcome, everybody!
We’ve got another look at the headless horseman legend —
in Stel’s poster for the Tim Curton film, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,”
for the Oct 30th 2018 “CLEO and COMPANY”
See it on Sherpa…

By now, it’s a major studio… and attracts major stars…
Cleo no longer plays all the starring roles… but don’t worry….
she does quite well by owning a big piece of the action….
plus, she has greater liberty to pick and choose her roles.

The parents are gonna be screaming when they see that movie. The kids are gonna be looking around and wondering if their classmates are noticing.

That’ll make it a rather one-sided conversation.

As part of the TCM horrorfest, there was a showing of The Fly last night. While watching, I began to envision our hero in a parody called THE FLEA.

Our hero, Cleo, hiding behind a tree? What’s with that?? I love scary movies ~~ as long as they aren’t too gory.
