I’ll take some but remove the raisins first. They hurt my teeth.

fifty years ago my criteria was what was the toy inside…… .the ones that stick in my memory were little plastic frogmen and a little plastic submarine that , if you put baking soda in the little holders under them, would actually go down and up in a tub of water……and you could send away to battle creek michigan and get even bigger ones….only fifty cents plus a boxtop….

sorry! just a rambling old guy thinking with his keyboard

I remember several toys that were either in the box, or more often, saving up several “proofs-of-purchase” and mailing them in to get a toy.

nighthawks - you are not alone here. My trouble was 2 brothers and 4 sisters, one box of cereal and one toy inside. Funny now how important that dumb little toy loomed in our young lives.

Yup. It was the toys in the box and/or what you could get with box tops in my day. Other than the toy, it didn’t matter what was on - or in the box.

Kids buy solely on box character and toy. Those Hannah and High School types, are just versions of existing cereals, with popular characters on the box. Always remember, it’s who your kids are eating with. If you want to sell cereal, put a cartoon character on the box.
