Paige: With a cool air of confidence, Paige Fox strolls across the school yard. Her six-page english essay is a work of inspired genius. The only question is will she get an "A" or an "A+" she dances for joy at the thought. <Fwip!> With a wanning air of confidence, Paige Fox sprints across the school yard.

has she never heard of stapling pages together?

Pride goeth before a fall, and a clear clip-on binding before a good old fashioned staple.

Staples? Binder? What about just having it in the bookbag with everything else?

Paige didn’t want any holes shot through her perfect paper.

When I was in the 9th grade, the English teacher gave us a assignment of a short story. Had two days to finish it. I was very proud of my work, it was about 10 pages, double spaced, and stapled. I was so proud that I showed it off. That was my mistake, the idiot janitor thought he’d ‘correct’ a mistake. One he was wrong, two it was the final draft, and three I was going to turn it in to the teacher in 20 mins. Thankfully she was ok with what he did. Also I was the one kid that had typed my story and was more than one page.

Yes, methinks a staple would have helped. That said, I can relate!

RussellNash: I think she didn’t want the essay wrinkled. (I have to put my papers in a three-ring binder to keep my bags from doing that to them.)
As you see, it’s too late now. :))
