Adam: All right, Katy. Let's pack the heavier food-drive items first. Katy: Five cans of pork and beans... six cans of black beans...four cans of pinto beans... Wow! All these beans just seem to have come out of nowhere! Adam: Well, why do you think they call them the "magical fruit"?

My Grandpa was a quiet and mellow man. But one time he recited this for me. I had never heard it before.
Beans, beans, the magical fruit. The more you eat, the more you toot. The more you toot, the better you feel. Beans, beans for every meal!
Thanks for the reminder. I’m thankful I knew him.

Heh… I remember that beans poem from my own childhood. We said the last line differently though.
Beans, beans the magical fruit. The more you eat, the more you toot. The more you toot, the better you feel Let’s have beans for every meal.

My memory has the lyrics as, “…”the musical fruit…” That enhances the “toot” line.

I remember the last line as: And then you’re ready for another meal of—Beans, Beans etc.
Guaranteed to drive any parent wild with repitition.
