I could have been worse for Petey. The soccoer ball could have hit his “5-hole” or “little Petey”. That would be agonizing.

The question is, which team’s goal is the ball headed to? Is Petey a hero, or does he score the dreaded “own goal”?

Never any soccer when I was in school but I had to play softball and volleyball and tried everything in my devious way to avoid them. I hate sports and was never any good at them- always would rather run, ride my bike or do calestenics. Like Petey I’d be the one hit with the ball ;-(

I grew up and now I am growing down.

First meetings can be SO difficult, especially for kids like Petey. But I think the soccer ball has made a lasting impression on him…
