Ohboy. Are we about to see Wally have another crisis of conscience?

The Endtown mini-comic that I produced for Comicpalooza 2011 is now available to YOU for the offensively low price of $2.50 (price includes s&h, international add $1 for each copy ordered ). Besides sporting a snazzy full color cover, it contains an all-new 22 page story that is available nowhere else. And just because I feel like doing it, I’ll sign and personalize (if desired) each and every copy I mail out. Simply pay via PayPal using my email address, aaronneathery@gmail.com, and be sure to include your mailing address. If you can’t pay with PayPal, send payment to:

Aaron NeatheryPO Box 920558Houston, TX 77292

And, just so you know, I’m completely open to donations. The cat and mouse that live in my head will thank you. :-)

Wally doesn’t need any meds for anxiety. He just takes one hot mousey and he’s fine for the rest of the day.

Wally’s not facing the killing And the captain is not facing him Her style shows her back; she’s unwilling To be something less threatening and grim She’s a sweetheart, this Endtown commander If we didn’t know better, I’m sure We would think toward her nothing but slander But we know that she’s just “insecure” That’s the short story, but life will throw jeers At such simple attempts at explaining Our opinions might show rage and show cheers With each day’s bit of knowledge we’re gaining Today’s artwork has nicely inferred her offhand gesture toward death, her dismissal And poor Wally’s alarm at the "murder"— He was not at all proud of that missile =|====/ Level Head Vote for Endtown 2.0 The Endtown Forum

Going back and looking at the archives, there seems to have only been the three topsiders to begin with. All three were felled during the fighting, with 2 confirmed by Leo and maybe one by Allie. At least one of them recovered later, indicating that their suits are self-healing. He’s joined by a second member that recovered. Of these two, Wally decapitates one and Allie shoots the other. So, depending on who got the very first kill, it could be one each Wally, Leo and Allie; or, 1 Wally and 2 Allie. Leo shot the Mutt, and no one knows what happened to the upended PT. Assuming that the mutant brains in the Mutt and the PT aren’t included, there were only 3 topsiders, and Wally knows this. So, he’s either thinking that Flask is exaggerating things, or that Allie fudged her field report, or both. Regardless, Wally’s not going to feel guilt over kills that he didn’t make.

I counted 4. Two shot at the first meeting (the one that recovered was knocked out by a brick) by Leo, one killed by hydrant, and the last killed by Allie while they return to Endtown.

So, then, it is all a misunderstanding. The deaths applied, that is. One other question, without Wally being debriefed, how would they know if Wally killed Topsiders before he was found by Allie and Leo? And if he was debriefed, then the records may have been set straight. I have no doubt that Wally had conflicts with Topsiders before. They’re like rats. They’re everywhere.

I like how Flask is drawn in panel 3 with that over-the-shoulder glare at Wally.

Don’t forget Aaron works about 11 weeks ahead. We won’t see #740 until near the end of the year.

Whew! I finally finished saving all 686 strips as pictures on my computer. A few clicks in Powerpoint turned them into a book an one more into PDF. Now I finally have an easy way to refer back to previous episodes and characters—at least until Aaron publishes the first book (soon I hope!)

He is not a friend and he is not a servant, he is the cat that walks by himself, and all places are alike to him. Some how I don’t see Flask, graciously waving her tail.

Curiouser and curiouser, I am intensely curious about Mr. Wallechinsky’s background, have been since he disabled the transporter with some telephone poles, cable a fire plug and his notebook.
