Yeah, but did you ever get a guy who “topped off the tank” for $1.09, had just got back into the city from Vegas, couldn’t see out of the windshield because of the bugs, and you had to check all the tires, the battery water, the radiator, and wash the windshield?
It’s interesting driving from California to Oregon for a visit. In Ca. you basically pump your own gas – using your ATM card, you may never even SEE an attendant. In Oregon you’re not allowed to pump your own gas – you wait for an attendant to do it. It’s difficult for many Californians not to automatically jump out and start pumping, but this gets you yelled at.
