Roland: "Am settling in with 'The Rogue,' new Palin bio. Will Tweet anything interesting." Let's see - "she freaked out afterward. Hysterical, crying, totally flipped out. The thing that people remember is her freak-out.' 'She was just horrified, she couldn't believe that she'd done it.' Book boring. Going for coffee."

Just like Sarah Palin
cdhaley about 13 years ago
The essential Sarah Palin, filtered through McGinnis and Roland Hedley. Not satisfied with having reduced SP to that terrifying golem doll, GT is now turning the record of her experience into a string of tweets. He wants to erase her name from history. That makes sense: only the golem’s creator can destroy it.

My congratulations to everyone who thinks this strip is real.

Your story makes a valid point, RSR. But if GT succeeds in removing her from history and translating her into one of his Doonesbury cast—-along with Hedley and Zipper—-then he’ll have preempted “Rogue” as he seems to be doing already with the factitious quotations. (Or has he stolen a look at the galleys?)

Don’t let the truth stop a good story when you write what she really said about seeing Russia from the 57th state island off Alaska.

She was a stand-in to counter Hillary.Even McCain tooka long look at her assets for all to see.

Sarah Palin could get some ratings boost by dropping her top at a hockey game while singing the National Anthem, as did Lucy Lawless (Zena, Warrior Princess).

My friend Michael Z. Williamson just released a novel titled “Rogue” – as he has been a NYT list author before I wonder if he will pick up sales by mistake from folks who just type the title in?

You hit the nail on the head Richard. The only reason Palin is around at all is because of the saturation-negativity of the left.If everyone (including Trudeau) stopped mentioning her for a month or two, she would disappear completely, dissolving into the background. Just another bossy suburban housewife, preoccupied with Facebook and “Dances with the Stars”.

Hey, Hedley, at least it’s not Tim Pawlent-zzz’s book.

Why does anyone think she’ll make a serious run for the White House? The job pays less than she’s currently making and the work is MUCH harder than the the jobs she’s already quit in Alaska.

People will continue to keep their demons alive by talking about them so they can continue ridiculing and trashing ’em. If they really wanted them to go away they would ignore them. By the way, Bush has already all but slid into obscurity but some people insist on keeping him relevant by blaming him for stuff as inconsequential as their nose-hair.

besides, you can always braid your nose hair

This strip is closer to reality than you may realize. As in the view in your rear view mirror shows objects closer than they may appear.

@lwpThe only quotation from The Rogue that I found on the Slate/Doonesbury site was the following, by Wasilla’s current mayor:“People around here don’t give a shit about Sarah anymore. They’re burned out on all her drama.”Sounds to me like a publisher’s blurb—-the kind of excerpt one reads on the book jacket. Maybe that’s what Roland is quoting from. In fact, he may have concocted his quotation to illustrate the mayor’s point.
