I guess Jeezus decided to jump out of Tebow’s back pocket and join the other side. God: Stop goveling! What are you doing now?King Arthur: Averting our eyes, oh Lord.God: Well, don’t. It’s just like those miserable psalms, always so depressing. Now knock it off! Every time I try to talk to someone it’s “sorry this” and “forgive me that” and “I’m not worthy”…
Too, too funny! I know Tebow is thanking his diety for the opportunity, not asking for a win, as it looks (so he says). But he could do it privately. Just him and his god. His exhibition smacks of side show and draws us to use parenthesis.
When he does good, he thanks the Lord.He didn’t do so good & thanked his teammates.Might want to thank the team more, when they block the rush & catch the pass.
Saw a great post in reference to someone who had “tebowed” and was carrying on about it. A friend said, “You mean you got your * kicked by Alabama and cried?” For those of us who live in Central Florida and are not part of the self-absorbed “Gator Nation”, this guy wore out his welcome years ago, and wasn’t near the athlete as his one time back-up & later Heisman Trophy winner/Nat’l Champion quarterback Cam Newton. With all this talk of “tebowing” sweeping the country it, brings back memories of a classic Joan Baez song, “With God on Our Side”.
