I don’t blame you, Baldo. That is one of my recurring nightmares: to do the work but not be able to get paid for it. Usually, in my dreams, there is some trick to the time clock that I can’t remember, but going in to work and getting started only to remember that you aren’t scheduled that day would be right up there too!

Would have been worse if he had actually gone to work before remembering he didn’t need to. Been there, done that.
